I love this team. It’s a young, fierce and athletic team that could make a lot of damage in the Western Conference and I’m thinking considerably more damage than they did last year. Of course, a lot of it rides on Ty Lawson and James Harden getting along together, but I think they are compatible and bound to improve one another’s game. People underestimate how great of a pick up Lawson is, but the guy average 15,2 points and 9,6 assist on a bottom feeding team last year. 9,6 ASSISTS ON THE 2015 DENVER NUGGETS? WHO THE HELL WAS HE EVEN PASSING THE BALL TO?

Houston’s bench is also very scary because it’s younger, more athletic and way more cohesive that last year. Having Patrick Beverly as a crunch time stopper for elite point guards is a great luxury to have. There’s shooting, defense, elite athleticism and basketball IQ in that team, which are the building blocks of a great contemporary NBA franchise. I think Houston Rockets’ diabolical mathematician/gambler of a GM Daryl Morey is about to get it right and create a championship team out of numbers and gut feelings and I think this is what it ought to be. If you’re an NBA nerd, you gotta love the Houston Rockets. I don’t know if they’re up for a championship this year, but it wouldn’t be a earth-crushing surprise if they won it all. Only thing I can see holding them back is James Harden falling to the Kardashian curse.
